Rebekah Childers
M.A. in Museum Studies, 2014
Rebekah Childers is the Assistant Registrar at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody, WY. She grew up in Abilene, TX and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Text from Abilene Christian University and a Master of Arts in Museum Studies from Baylor University. In 2018, she joined the Center of the West, where she assists in the care and management of the permanent collection, objects on loan, and temporary exhibits for the Center’s five museums.
Rebekah enjoys working hands-on with museum artifacts, and seeing to the care and preservation of objects. To this end, she has worked with the collections at museums across the country, including the Museum of Northern Arizona and the Clinton Presidential Library.
Involvement in professional organizations includes Rebekah’s presentation on social media and museums at the Arkansas Museum Association Conference, “I Ain’t Afraid of No Troll: Surviving the 2016 Presidential Election at the Clinton Presidential Library."
