Degree Requirements
Master of Arts in Museum Studies
Students earn the Master of Arts degree in Museum Studies by successfully completing 36 semester hours of course work which include six semester hours of museum internship, thesis or master's project. A maximum of six semester hours of graduate study in museum-related courses may be transferred from an accredited institution of higher learning toward a master's degree in Museum Studies at Baylor University, subject to certain restrictions.
Graduate Minor
The graduate-level minor in Museum Studies requires nine semester hours. Working with the Graduate Program Director, students select museum studies courses that align with their personal and professional goals.
Capstone Experience
Graduate students complete a 6-hour capstone experience, consisting of an internship, a professional project, or thesis. The results of that experience are published in BearDocs, Baylor University's digital repository.
